AI limitations

Civena uses AI language models to understand your messages and documents and to write explanations. Here is what that means for you.
What the AI does
- Understands your question in German, French, Italian or English.
- Extracts facts such as dates and places, which you confirm before they are saved.
- Reads uploaded documents and summarises sender, request and deadline.
- Writes explanations based only on Civena’s verified rules and official source excerpts.
What the AI does not do
- It does not decide which obligations exist — the rule engine does.
- It does not invent deadlines, fees, authorities or links. If no official source supports a statement, the answer says so.
- It does not submit anything to authorities.
Limits
AI can misread a handwritten or poor-quality scan, or misunderstand an unusual situation. Civena therefore shows confidence levels, lets you correct every extracted field, and routes ambiguous or high-risk cases to human review. Always check the cited official source for important decisions.
